RE: DeadWood
When you said this area, I would expand your area beyond Sturgis. South Dakota has many wonderful areas and campgrounds. I prefer the surroundings around Custer. Campgroundreviews.com can narrow it down for you.

RE: Do it yourself Oil Change on Newmar class a gas motorhome
If you plan to continue to do it yourself, I recommend that you replace the drain plug with a fumoto valve with the nipple on it for attaching a hose. That way, when you drain the oil, you don't have the mess caused by splashing on the front axle.
Best add on I've made. Adding the Fumoto valve eliminated both the mess and any reluctance to get on the creeper and just do it.

RE: ignore automaker's suggested towing speed
Does anyone bother with the posted speed limits when towing anymore? In the California Oregon border region, 80 or 75 seems a little high.

RE: Advice for Trip to Utah
If you are AAA members, their Indian Country specialty map is very good for planning the trip. Also called the Grand Circle trip on various forums. It can still be a hot trip in September but just go for it.

RE: California Hwy 1. (UPDATED)
I have driven it in two different rigs. The most trouble was from Westport to Legget. Not real interesting, slow to 15 mph curves uphill and logging trucks to make it a challenge. I wouldn't take it again. I would head to 101 at Fort Bragg.

RE: Backup Camera problem
Fixed the problem. It was stuck on Camera 2. Fixed it by a good, hard wop to the housing. It reverted to Camera 1.

Backup Camera problem
The XRV-10 system for radio and backup camera functions messed up on my latest trip. In camera mode, the rear view will not display at all. Both right and left side views are but when returned from the turn signal, the side view continues. The manual which came with my Winnebago is no help. Any ideas on how to get the rear view back? A backup camera with no back view isn't very useful.
